Force

Yesterday I witnessed Benjamin Clementine perform in Paradiso. Even though my expectations were very high - having played his songs over and over - I was blown away by his presence and performance. I have never seen anything like it. 

Last week I saw Mommy in cinema, a Canadian movie by Xavier Dolan. It is very powerful.

​Both Benjamin Clementine's performance and the movie Mommy hold an enormous amount of sadness and darkness. Yet there is hope, beauty and humour in both of them. What I felt most of all in both of these cases was force; a strong, emotional force coming from the artists to the viewer. I now feel stronger and more ready for life after witnessing these great artistic achievements. Thank you.
